The Tapestry

The Tapestry by Debbie Milam
When we embrace the many parts of our experience we discover a magnificent creation. . . Every moment is but a thread, a thread of consciousness embracing the very essence of life.  Some threads are brilliant and dazzling while others are tattered and torn.  When looked upon in isolation the tattered threads look inferior.  Yet when woven together by the wondrous hands of the Creator, the light magically blends with the dark.  As joy coalesces with pain, God creates the magnificent tapestry that is life.

Joy and sadness. Victory and defeat. Love and desolation. These bits of emotions and experiences ultimately fill the tapestry of our lives. The intricate designs of our lives' fabric are patched with these precious moments-- moments that either break and tatter the weave or strengthen the weave. But the choice completely lies in our hands. As much as we can fill the weave with those dull, breakable threads of hatred, sadness and pain, it is also our choice to weave the fabric with the durable, colorful ones-- the threads of joy, compassion, and love.

This blog is but a collection of those moments, of those choices. It is here that I am able to share every stitch of my life's tapestry. It is here that my weave is unveiled.  And we'll never know, we might just have the same design!

To my readers, I hope you enjoy reading my posts, my musings and blabberings, my random  rants... and my own life's tapestry in general. I also hope you enjoy getting tangled with it. (It's quite crazy, I tell you.) You might find some posts nonsense but hey, without those, the tapestry won't be completed! And one more thing, I do appreciate if you leave some comments. =)

With drive and zest, let's continue to weave the tapestry of our lives!

Always,

The blogger :)
